Dr. RAVISANKAR. P., MBBS., MS., Mch, DNB, FAIS, FAES, GOLF(IFHNOS), FIAGES is a experienced Surgical Oncologist trained from renowned institutes including JIPMER, Madurai medical college and Cancer Institute (WIA) Adyar, Chennai.  He completed his undergradation at JIPMER, Puducherry and was awarded Sri. K.S.Sridhar Memorial JIPMER Alumni Association and Sri.M.C.RamavarmaValia Raja Memorial Gold Medal for the Best All rounder in the year 2009. He then proceeded with his master degree in the general surgery from the prestigious Madurai medical college in the year 2013 and had been awarded with the Dr.T.Durairajan Gold Medal Award in Pediatric Surgery and Prof. B.K.C. Mohan Prasad Gold Medal Award in Surgical oncology for M.S., Post Graduates. He pursued his M.ch degree from the proud institution Cancer Institute (WIA), Adyar, Chennai and also completed his D.N.B in the field of surgical oncology.

He has experience of 8 years in Oncological care, after the completion of his Superspeciality degree.  After the completion of degree, he has undergone fellowship in head and neck Oncology by International Federation of Head & Neck Oncological society [IFHNOS].  He also has pursued his interest in the fields of Oncoplastic breast surgery, peritoneal surface malignancies, etc.  His special interests include head & neck cancers, endocrine cancers breast gynecological cancers, hepatic-pancreatic biliary cancers, colon & rectal cancers, sarcomas, thoracic malignancy, urological malignancy.  He also has experiences in the advanced thoracoscopic and laparoscopic cancer surgeries.

He also has humble experience in treating thousands of cancer patients in surgeries and part of multi modality treatment in and out Pondicherry.  He also has participated in various conferences and has given invited lectures and talks in various national and international conferences.  He also has numerous publications in reputed international journals and has contributed to the development in knowledge of the cancer.
